Privacy Policy

Scanio for Sellers ("Scanio", "we", "us") is a tool that watches an Amazon Seller Central account you connect and turns changes to your listings into assigned tasks. This policy explains what we hold, why we hold it, and how to get rid of it. It covers this website and the application at the same domain.
What we collect
Account details
Your name, your email address, your company name, and a password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash, so we cannot read yours and cannot tell it to anyone, including you.
Data about your listings
You connect your Seller Central account, and Scanio starts keeping a record of your listings and of what changes on them. That record is:
- Your listings: SKU, ASIN, condition, fulfillment channel, marketplace, and listing status.
- Buy Box state: whether you hold it, who holds it if you do not, the current price, and the competing offers on that listing.
- FBA inventory: fulfillable, inbound, reserved, unfulfillable, and researching quantities, plus storage utilization and overage figures.
- Stranded inventory: which listings are unsellable while stock sits in FBA, and the reason given.
- Reviews published on your listings: rating, title, text, date, and the display name the reviewer chose to publish.
- The authorization itself, so syncs can keep running without asking you to reconnect every day.
We do not read or store your customer orders, buyer names, buyer addresses, or any other personally identifiable information about the people who buy from you.
Usage and technical data
Server logs of requests to the application, which include your IP address, your browser's user agent, and timestamps. A session cookie that keeps you logged in. There are no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics scripts, and no trackers on this site.
Payment data
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never touch our servers. What we store is the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, your plan, and its status.
What we use it for
- Running the product: detecting what changed on your listings and creating the tasks that follow from it.
- Sending you account and service email: password resets, and notifications about your own data.
- Billing, and the records that go with it.
- Support, when you contact us and we need to see what your account was doing.
- Keeping the service secure and available, including investigating abuse.
What we never do
We do not sell your data. We do not rent it, trade it, or share it for advertising. We do not use one customer's Amazon data to build anything shown to another customer, and we do not use it to train machine learning models. Every query the application makes is scoped to your company, and that scoping is the mechanism that keeps one customer's data away from another's.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to run the product, and only for that purpose:
- Our hosting and database provider, which stores the application data.
- Stripe, for payments and subscription management.
- Resend, for sending account email.
- Amazon, in the sense that we call Amazon's APIs using the authorization you granted.
We will also disclose data where we are legally required to, and we will tell you when we are permitted to tell you.
How long we keep it
Account data and listing history are kept while your account is open, because the product works by comparing today against what came before. Logs are kept for a short operational period and then age out. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Deleting your account
Email support@scanio.ca from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will delete the account and the data belonging to it, including your listings, their history, your tasks, and the stored Amazon authorization, within 30 days. Backups age out on their own schedule. Billing records we are legally required to keep are the exception, and they are kept in Stripe, not here.
You can also revoke our access to your Seller Central account directly from Amazon at any time, without contacting us. Revoking access stops future syncs; it does not by itself delete data we already hold, so send the email as well if that is what you want.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to support@scanio.ca and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Security
Traffic to the application is encrypted in transit over HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed. Amazon authorizations are held server-side and used only to make the API calls the product needs. Access to production systems is limited to the people who operate the service.
Where data is held
The application and its database run on servers in the United States. If you use Scanio from outside the United States, your data is transferred there.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email account holders before it takes effect and update the date at the top of this page.
